Flipping the Classroom: New Lynda.com Video

Recently we’ve heard from faculty who are interested in the idea of flipping the classroom.  Flipping the classroom is simply providing your lectures to students to view outside of class and using class time to work on problems, for discussion and creating a more active class.  In this model you are both providing content in the traditional sense but also acting as a coach and mentor to students as they make sense of and create using this new knowledge.

Lynda.com has a new course available for anyone interested in learning more about flipping the classroom.  You can watch the video here, or you can contact your Instructional Technology liaison to learn more about this idea and how you might experiment with or implement it.
